Start over again and watch carefully for the opportunity to reformat your hard drive. That is very probably what is giving you the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). I would greatly appreciate if you get to a solution to let me know as I am, I'm afraid about to chuck the thing out of a window!.. I came across some "Matrix Storage..." software for the chipset, and it referred to certain revisions of the chip...like I have any idea which revision DFI used here.

Apparently, if you create one large raid 5 array (single volume) the controller doesn't wish to allow you to boot from it. The power supply unit itself may be failing. any ideas as to what is to be done..

I suggest you put your supposedly bad HDD in a different "working" computer, boot from your Windows CD, format the HDD to NTFS and install Windows on it there. I can handle those speeds I suppose -- hopefully be able to squeeze more on the other array volume with write-back on. If you can do that then the supposedly bad HDD is not really bad. So I am at a loss, if the SSD is kaput I would like to install Windows xp to a SD CARD and run it from there, but after formatting an But it is there !
