I was pulling my hair out over this issue. Look into the i386 directory of your source CD (not the freshly nLited one). But a different file pops up instead. When i start the computer with that CD in, it loads a few things, then i get a different kind of error message. Save both log's to your flash drive. My PC kept hanging at the point of "Setup cannot copy file: Si3114r.sys" and so on with the rest of the driver files. The installation takes a long time, and varies in duration. I change the boot order so that the CD-DRIVE boots first (The Disk doesn't actually boot from the CD DRIVE, it boots from the DVD DRIVE. I gave it a try, and it worked... Since you are posting, you obviously have access to another PC, so you could look into the UBCD4WIN option, which is tremendously useful for all sorts of things you probably can't Solution: You have to use a clean (original) XP x64 CD as source.

All of the warnings state that certain .sys file is not found--as in 116 .sys files seem to be missing?? I give up. Whne I had my drives set up on a different ASUS Mobo with Raid 0 I had no problems, althought the manufacturer installed it. Linux always gets the blame for lack of native hardware support, so I don't see why you would blame ASUS instead of Microsoft on this one... Numerous attempts all end the same, cannot copy the file.Work arounds attempted:?
