Rptproj Cannot Open
Once you execute SQLEXPADV_x64_ENU.exe on your machine and run through the Setup wizard, you’ll come across the Feature Selection screen.In this screen, you shouldsee BIDS (or Business Intelligence Development Studio) as You cannot upload attachments. I won’t go into the details of all the other files, but the one you need for Visual Studio 2010 reporting is the file called SQLEXPADV_x64_ENU.exe. Visual Studio 2015 Rptproj Not Supported Step 2 =================================================== I tried uninstalling VS 2010 and ran the installation from the SQL Server 2012 disk and it still failed to install the Data Tools. Once the installation completes, restart Visual Studio 2010 and reopen your solution.

In the web acquision [sic! ??] experience, however, the SSDT shell only includes the database projects component. What's the deal people? Whenin VS it does not recognize rptproj as a viable project type. The thing is, it was working for them for about 8-9 months.
